Ever since I picked up my first paintbrush, I knew that painting was more than just a hobby for me—it was a passion. The richness of the colors, the texture of the paint, and the endless possibilities for blending and layering have captivated me from the start.

My journey with oil painting began with self-taught experiments, countless hours spent in front of the canvas, and a deep desire to learn the technique made famous by Bob Ross. As I honed my skills, I realized that painting was not just about creating beautiful images but also about the process of discovery and the community that comes along with it.

I have a passion for teaching as well, being a teacher for 22 years.  So teaching oil painting has been a natural extension of my love of wanting to help others.  I love sharing the techniques and insights I've gained over the years with others who are eager to learn. In my classes, I focus on helping students develop their own unique style while mastering the fundamentals of oil painting. Thus I focus on the tips and techniques that I learned in this style of painting to help others find success and joy in painting.  From understanding color theory and composition to mastering brushwork and texture, I guide my students through each step of the creative process.

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is witnessing the growth and confidence of my students. Seeing their excitement as they complete their first painting or master a challenging technique is incredibly fulfilling. I believe that everyone has the potential to create art, and my goal is to inspire and empower my students to explore their creativity and find joy in the process.
